An object to contain all of the data to generate a view, plus the member functions to build the view query, execute the query and render the output.

Hierarchy

Functions & methods

NameDescription
view::accessDetermine if the given user has access to the view. Note that this sets the display handler if it hasn't been.
view::attach_displaysRun attachment displays for the view.
view::buildBuild the query for the view.
view::build_titleForce the view to build a title.
view::choose_displayGet the first display that is accessible to the user.
view::clone_viewSafely clone a view.
view::copyMake a copy of this view that has been sanitized of all database IDs and handlers and other stuff.
view::db_objectsReturns the complete list of dependent objects in a view, for the purpose of initialization and loading/saving to/from the database.
view::deleteDelete the view from the database.
view::delete_locale_stringsDelete localized strings.
view::destroyUnset references so that a $view object may be properly garbage collected.
view::display_objectsReturns a list of the sub-object types used by this view. These types are stored on the display, and are used in the build process.
view::end_query_captureAdd the list of queries run during render to buildinfo.
view::executeExecute the view's query.
view::execute_displayExecute the given display, with the given arguments. To be called externally by whatever mechanism invokes the view, such as a page callback, hook_block, etc.
view::execute_hook_blockCalled to get hook_block information from the view and the named display handler.
view::execute_hook_menuCalled to get hook_menu() information from the view and the named display handler.
view::exportExport a view as PHP code.
view::export_locale_stringsExport localized strings.
view::get_base_tablesCreate a list of base tables eligible for this view. Used primarily for the UI. Display must be already initialized.
view::get_breadcrumbGet the breadcrumb used for this view.
view::get_current_pageGet the current page from the pager.
view::get_exposed_inputFigure out what the exposed input for this view is.
view::get_human_nameReturn the human readable name for a view.
view::get_items_per_pageGet the items per page from the pager.
view::get_offsetGet the pager offset from the pager.
view::get_pathGet the base path used for this view.
view::get_titleGet the view's current title. This can change depending upon how it was built.
view::get_urlGet the URL for the current view.
view::init_displaySet the display for this view and initialize the display handler.
view::init_handlersAcquire and attach all of the handlers.
view::init_localizationFind and initialize the localizer plugin.
view::init_pagerInitialize the pager
view::init_queryDo some common building initialization.
view::init_styleFind and initialize the style plugin.
view::is_cacheableIs this view cacheable?
view::is_translatableDetermine whether a view supports admin string translation.
view::loadLoad a view from the database based upon either vid or name.
view::load_viewsStatic factory method to load a list of views based upon a $where clause.
view::post_executeUnset the current view, mostly.
view::previewPreview the given display, with the given arguments.
view::pre_executeRun attachments and let the display do what it needs to do prior to running.
view::process_locale_stringsProcess strings for localization, deletion or export to code.
view::renderRender this view for a certain display.
view::render_fieldRender a specific field via the field ID and the row #
view::saveSave the view to the database. If the view does not already exist, A vid will be assigned to the view and also returned from this function.
view::save_locale_stringsSend strings for localization.
view::set_argumentsSet the arguments that come to this view. Usually from the URL but possibly from elsewhere.
view::set_current_pageChange/Set the current page for the pager.
view::set_displaySet the display as current.
view::set_exposed_inputSet the exposed filters input to an array. If unset they will be taken from $_GET when the time comes.
view::set_items_per_pageSet the items per page on the pager.
view::set_offsetSet the offset on the pager.
view::set_titleOverride the view's current title.

view::start_query_captureSet up query capturing.
view::substitutionsGet's all the substitutions and store them.
view::use_pagerDetermine if the pager actually uses a pager.
view::validateMake sure the view is completely valid.

view::_build_argumentsBuild all the arguments.
view::_init_handlerAttach all of the handlers for each type.
view::_pre_queryRun the pre_query() on all active handlers.
view::_save_rowsSave a row to the database for the given key, which is one of the keys from view::db_objects()
view::__constructConstructor
views_db_object::add_displayAdd a new display handler to the view, automatically creating an id.
views_db_object::add_itemAdd an item with a handler to the view.
views_db_object::export_rowExport a loaded row, such as an argument, field or the view itself to PHP code.
